Level I Collaborative Team Practice

In two days, we will teach you a revolutionary new Collaborative Team approach to assisting families through divorce which will not only change your client’s lives but your life too.

The Level I Interdisciplinary Collaborative Team Course is intended for Mental Health Professionals, Lawyers, Divorce Financial Specialists, Accountants and others who are interested in becoming Collaborative Team Practice professionals.

The Details…

Collaborative Team Practice is a cost effective, dignified approach to divorce. Clients work with a team of lawyers, divorce coaches, a parenting coach and a financial specialist. At the outset, the clients sign a participation agreement in which they agree they will not go to Court. Instead, they agree to work with their team to find a resolution to their core concerns. Not only is an agreement reached, the parties also learn how to effectively parent their children through the process, the financial consequences of various settlement options and new communication skills. We teach you this model.

  • We will take you through a case, step by step
  • Provide you with the documents and tools you need
  • Teach you what you need to cover with clients during the first meeting
  • Show you how four way meetings work
  • Explain communication protocols among team members and debriefing
  • Share our new client-friendly participation agreement (worth the price of admission itself)
  • Detail the role of each professional so you will know how you fit into the team and what the others will be doing
  • We will teach using a variety of methods including lecture, partner-shares, group-shares, role plays, break out groups and the provision of written materials
  • You will be ready to begin practicing as part of a Collaborative Team
  • This course may qualify for up to 16 hours of Continuing Education for lawyers, financial specialists and mental health professionals
  • You will develop the sound bites you need to market and launch your practice
  • You will be granted a Certificate of Participation upon completion

This was indeed the best training I have ever received in the area of law – given the way it was delivered – retaining info was much greater as it was repetitive and FUN!!!

Level I offered by other professionals does not teach the same interdisciplinary team model we teach. Our Level II builds on our Level I and is an advanced, skills-oriented course. I think you did a great job of getting participants enrolled in the process and keeping us engaged. I also think that I will remember the information that you taught us due to the active, ‘hands on’ nature of the training and repetition of information. Your enthusiasm and passion for the process was contagious.
